5 things to look forward to this week | 8.4.14

Saturdays always seem to go by quicker when a certain baby nephew is home and still learning to walk, but Sunday, on the other hand, always seems to be the day when everything slows down for a whole 24 hours. Though most things didn't go as planned, there's still hope and excitement lingering, for there is a very anticipated project underway...more news on that! This week's edition of 5 things seems to have a theme of nudes, a personally favorite color…

With my new set from Gossard, can't wait to the pretty under things around and about.
 
  Always feel impossibly chic when wearing my pair of pearl earrings and haven't done so in a while so the next office outfit will include pretty pearls and red, red lips.

Am in need of cleaning and organizing my shoes and so this weekend will consist of some closet makeover.

Will continue on the search for the perfect sized clutch, to hold all my necessities; my phone, glasses, lipstick and more.

Perhaps a trip to the shops to pick up Jo Malone's Red Roses perfume, which have been admiring from a distance for some time now.

5 things to look forward to this week | 7.15.14

This week is filled with many appointments and to-dos and surprisingly, the calendar is very well booked up until Sunday. Hope your week has been a pleasure so far!


Am always, always searching for a simply creative, yet fun plate to make for meal prepping and this toast with smoked salmon, kale and avocado spread shared by @style_milk would be lovely for breakfast or lunch!




Have just recently discovered a farmers market hosted every Thursday, just down the street from my home! This week shall be the perfect week to explore.



Would like to repaint my nails again and have been opting for pastel and nudes, but am thinking that a little bit of red would be good for a change.



There are plans to visit a very favorite dessert shop this weekend and if that's the case, shall be enjoying one too many sweets before next Monday arrives!



Have been on the longest hunt for a dress with the pretty detail of a bow. Maybe this one from Alexandra Grecco will do…

5 things to look forward to this week | 1

A new way to share the many things to look forward to during the week (and le weekend), here are 5 things, featuring pretty tulle skirts and antique finds:

Receiving a package, all the way from Israel, that encloses a very dreamy black tulle skirt handmade by Sheryll and her team at BLUSHFASHION.

Though not a heavy makeup user, thinking about investing in some quality makeup brushes like these pretty pink ones from Aerin.

Just had to discard the pretty, tiny bunch of carnations my sister had bought home from a couple of weeks ago.  Shall pick up another bunch for the apartment.

With no official plans next weekend, except for a bon voyage dinner for a friend taking her career to Seattle, thinking of visiting a favorite old towne antique shop on the search for pretty kitchen things.

And while out and about next weekend, shall hope to take a snapshot or two, of some new outfits.

Adventurous Getaway | Places To Visit: Chicago

Merely days away from taking flight to Chicago and nowhere near ready to pack for two weeks far from home and to be thousands of miles away from M. There are firsts for everything and this trip will be the beginning of its own kind, my first flight alone, but will be greeted with good company upon arrival.

Welcome To The Week: Blossoming Peonies

This last month was filled with hope to find peonies at frequented markets to no avail, until this weekend when happened upon many beautiful types of flowers, but of course, quickly grabbed peony stems - after all, have been waiting since last year for them to be in season again.

Even above roses, peonies are my favorite; the grandiose petals exhibit a surreal quality of whimsical beauty and the blossoming of these flowers are quite enchanting and glamorous. There's also the subtle, sexy, musky smell produced from these beauties and can never get enough of it...

Have been completely enamored by this song in its acoustic version, which makes me think of M, and wishing that your week blooms in the magical way you've envision it.

Le Weekend: Sun-Drenched Days & Dreamy Whites

Though exploring the city by night this Saturday, there's still two whole sun-drenched days to look forward to and plans include wondering around a very favorite, very quaint downtown spot full of vintage treasures, and searching for the perfect antique vanity tray for my mother's many perfume bottles.

Looking forward to spending time with loved ones and little ones, dressed in dreamy whites and smelling the roses at my parent's home and much, much more.

Le Weekend: Fully Recovered And Forever Pink

After having been completely exhausted from a pool of overtime hours for event season at work, feeling somewhat fully recovered from the mayhem, the back-to-back event set ups and the lack of beauty sleep - all mixed up with dry Santa Ana winds and hazy, languid air these past couple of California days...



Though a little disappointed for lack of updates here, woke up today feeling re-energized and ready to continue on in the search for beautiful things, the sharing of inspirational thoughts and ideas and so it brings us to le weekend.

Friday, the starter of long nights filled with new dinner and dessert adventures and early mornings dedicated to fitness, prepping and brunches, above all...hope your weekend is filled with a contagious kind of energy and for today's inspiration, FOREVER PINK for days to come in dresses and plaid, cherry blossoms and other pretty, pretty flowers and best of all, shoes.

Visual Vignette: Minimalist Clothing Racks

Officially moved out and moved in and surprisingly all unpacked, but am nowhere near organized! Hoping to have some sense of order when there's room for downtime, to rearrange and sort all items, and to create a working space. Must admit, it has been very difficult to share and create without a proper station to inspire and motivate.

And on the topic of organizing, these pretty, pretty and very simple clothing racks in copper, silver and gold, make room for a little closet storage inspiration. Though always striving to display every pair of shoe, coat and dress hanging in the closet, these racks instill an idea to leave just enough space for only the season's wearables. Wondering...could the maximalist in me compromise to such a notion?

Visual Vignette: Perfectly Peachy

After falling into what seemed like an extended lull from all the celebrations, am slowly getting back into the routine of things, from writing many, many cards officially in the mail today, to dressing in his & hers & heels at the office - it's time to get back to the reality of packing for an upcoming move, cleaning a purposely messy apartment and a new weekend, soon, dedicated to to-do lists and more birthday and anniversary planning for M and I.

Though busy, have been taking the time to stop and smell the beautiful roses, as seen above from my parents, that sit in my living room, bathing in the sunlight creeping through the patio windows. The bright hue of coral these roses evoke takes me back to a surprise birthday party, which my dear sister had planned and bought a dress in the shade of coral for me to wear, and also reminds me of my love for such a color...in lipstick, in blush, in pretty dresses and suddenly everything just seems perfectly peachy as spring is now officially here.
