Inspired Outfit: A Summer Garden Afternoon

Le holiday weekend started with endless mimosas and margaritas, home cooked brunches and lunches that ultimately led to daring dinner choices and a new must visit cafe for the future and this morning, there was laughter and beautifully messy bed head shared with M, a charming mix of music on shuffle and, in a little bit, possibly one too many cups of iced coffee to enjoy while catching up on reading, writing cards and organizing.

Tomorrow, tomorrow there's an uncertainty of what to do, but today's inspired outfit may just lead to the very idea of visiting a summer garden in the afternoon to admire an abundance of floral beauty and to be beneath a cloudless summer sky...

His & Hers | Anniversary Gift Guide: Rosie's Wish List

Second to last event of mine and M's "holiday season" is our anniversary, and I'm brimming and glowing with love as the date grows closer. Personal preference for anniversary gifts are something that both individuals can enjoy as a couple, rather than gifts for each other. Last year was a black blanket to keep us warm while together and this year, due to fear that M will stumble upon this post, will keep private until the perfect moment comes along.

Here are some rather perfect gift choices for a couple's anniversary, all of which are very close to mine and M's heart!


Annual membership for 2 to The Huntington Library. Can't make it any more obvious how much I love this place! We love lighting candles for as long as we're home, this Ponderosa scent from Voluspa's Vermeil Collection reminds me of M. Our very first date, ever, was a traditional dinner and a movies and we've since upgraded to a more luxe experience at iPic Theaters. We can't seem to go back to regular places!

Sometimes, M and I like to enjoy dinner and TV and these tray tables are perfect for just that! Also perfectly multi-functional, could be used as a side table, a bar tray and more. Lastly, M and I are trying to be better about capturing life's most precious moments. This fabulously gold lomography camera could just be that motivation for us to take more photographs.

His & Hers | Birthday Gift Guide: Rosie's Wish List

It's a running joke between M and I that winter/spring are truly holiday seasons for us two - Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's Eve and New Year's, Valentine's Day, my birthday, his birthday and our anniversary...6 months of holidays nonstop and then there's a long spell of non-holidays for us from summer to fall.

Have mentioned earlier this week that I've been avoiding looking at calendars, primarily because my birthday is coming up soon and am nowhere near ready for it! In addition to mine, M's birthday is in April, as well as our anniversary, and March and April at the office is always extremely busy as campaign season rolls out for spring.

This YSL lipstick has recently become a favorite of mine, sheer and tastes like candy! BKR glass bottle to make sure I drink plenty of water throughout my happily busy days. A classic robe for morning lounging and brunches in bed.

Some favorite things pencils for letter writing and jotting down ideas and plans. An all-in-one printer so that it's easier to create printable cards and crafts at home. Have had my eyes on this gold foil print for some time, for the art wall. The most perfect lucite umbrella for the most perfect rainy days! A broken heater in the home and having no clue how to utilize the fireplace for warmth makes the nights that much colder. Hot showers and baths typically do the trick, but as of late, a hot drink, especially one so decadent to have chocolate AND lavender, not long before bedtime has been helping ease the chill.

And suddenly it turned into December. It seems as if only yesterday it was the night before 2013 and I received my first (and hopefully many more to come) New Year's Eve kiss from M. Now we are all frantically, and happily, putting together décor around our homes, resembling a rich dark greenness and rustic, earthly, brown to celebrate a first Christmas for a few sweet little ones.
