Never seized an opportunity to be a flower girl for someone's ceremony, but these completely adorable flower girl dresses from Doloris Petunia make me wish so badly that there was a chance. All dresses are maximized for "twirl-a-bility" and there's French lilac and buttercream lace, layers upon layers of tulle, pearl buttons and velvet sashes...every girl would want to be a flower girl in such dresses!

Dreaming of an adult sized version of the Pamela dress, covered in thousands of hand dyed blush toned petals, with Swarovski crystals, a little reminiscent of the prettily placed floral appliqués from Elena Perminova in GiambattistaValli's embellished mini dress last year and how magnificently feminine and utterly cool that street-styled outfit was...

Going back to Saint Laurent's Spring 2009 runway, where femininity met its crossroads between simplicity and audacity, cage and strappy heels have resurfaced into my wardrobe, not as a choice for a night-time outfit, but now as a cleverly edgy foundation for day-time wear.

Have recently realized that my mother is drawn to shoes with intricate straps and I, too, am on board, ever since taking these home on a well deserved whim one day at the shops.

No need to be afraid of how bold these are - the trick is to put them on first (maybe lingerie first, then shoes), then add on around them. Go chic in chambray and sexy skinny jeans, or add a feminine blouse to your favorite masculine jeans...one can only be positively daring and be only in a positively strappy situation with such shoes!
